Payroll Coordinator

The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for compiling and processing employee payroll and time data using an automated payroll and time-keeping systems. This person will work closely with the store and corporate management in processing, computing and entering payroll data into the payroll system.
Essential Functions
· Review time sheets, PTO requests and other information to ensure accurate recording of employee’s time
· Enter employee information into payroll and/or time-keeping systems as needed
· Process vacation payout requests
· Verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments, and post information onto designated records
· Issue and record adjustments to pay related to previous errors or retroactive increases
· Enters all direct deposit information in HRIS system
· Enter all tax updates in HRIS system
· Process final pay utilizing manual checks and Pay Card processing per State guidelines
· Receive and send all garnishments to third-party vendor for processing
· Prepare and send Medical Support Orders per agency guidelines
· Properly file all payroll records for each pay period
· Provide time-keeping support and training to end-users
· Prepare and review payroll reports to ensure employees are accurately paid
· Maintains complete confidentiality of all payroll records and reports
· Ensures regulatory compliance to all applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations
· Responds to payroll-related requests for information from employees, and from outside entities
· Researches and remains current on federal and state payroll law and other applicable laws and regulations affecting payroll administration
· Performs all work duties and activities in accordance with Sprouts’ policies and procedures
· Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Physical Requirements
· Minimum of two (2) years of experience in processing payroll
· High school diploma with some college courses preferred in accounting, finance, bookkeeping and payroll, or an acceptable combination of education and experience
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs required
· Requires strong organizational skills and ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work well with all levels of employees in the organization
· Demonstrated ability to successfully fulfill the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
· Experience using Ultipro
